Came accross this site while surfing for dry transfer lettering. Don't know if anybody else has seen it...

Archer's surface transfers is a great way of adding detail to models but you have to be careful as far as finishing the models once they have been applied... I have heard of folks having problems using Solvaset on models with the rivet and other details applied causing the resin detail to melt, though I do not know how bad this actually occurs or what to do as an alternative so as to hide the decal film.

Archer has really gone out on a limb in providing appropriate N-scale sized details and I believe that orders have proven their choice to offer such to be a very good one... I know I will be using them on a number of my projects as I get further along with them and am thankful to Archer filling a void in model railroading (not just for N-scale)!!!

I've used their stuff on several projects, and if you do it right - with paint and gloss coat before decals - you shouldn't have problems with moderate amounts of Solvaset.  it's overly heavy applications that seem to do them in.
