Yes there are. Not everybody thinks they have time or skills to do this or thinks it looks much better when somebody else does it. Had a guy pay me 10 bucks to swap out wheel sets on 4 freight cars at the shop awhile back. Couldn't believe it, but he did.

The cattle car reminds me of a story I read about the competitiveness of Jay Gould and Vanderbilt.  Mr. Gould decided to play a prank on Mr. Vanderbilt and lowered the price of shipping cattle from Chicago to New York to $1.00 per head.  Vanderbilt matched the price.  Gould then lowered the price to $1.00 per car load.  Again Vanderbilt matched the price.  What Vanderbilt did not know was that Gould had bought all the cattle in futures trading and so Gould shipped all the cattle over Vanderbilt's NYC for $1.00 per carload.
