Dunnage is a good idea actually...and I doubt I could do enough to charge $50.00   ;D

As I noted before, I had to get the shot in the Micro News and my vintage auto order had not shown up yet.  Without something in there it looked odd.  Maybe next time I will get this done sooner.

I like the approach, the execution is "eh".

I think that picking a more western road would've made more sense for the cattle chute. I think there's just more appeal there because of the closer ties between the cattle industry and the western railroads.

I think the auto box is a brilliant idea too, but it's got to be a period correct car. That looks like a 78 something in a 30s-50s car.

Actually there was lots of small loading pens in the East that handle 1 or 2 cars.Of course these was usually found in small farming communities on branchlines.

There was 2 small rail served stock yards here in Bucyrus(Oh) at one time

How about a PRR flat with a boat load (note, that's two words, so don't anyone ask "Boatload of what?"), like the ones that ran out of the Chris-Craft plant on the Delmarva? I used to snicker when I saw the ones done by Lionel, until I saw a photo of a prototype, and now I want one.

Hmm.. What about some dunnage/blocking for some of the open loads? Shoot, since you did it already, maybe a runner pack of reefers with a packing house: "industry in a box".

I like the combined arms marketing approach on stuff like this, and I think it can go far with the daisy pickers who come into a hobby shop looking for something to put on the layout.

I really like that idea.  It sounds like something more up Walthers' alley, but I wouldn't put it past MT.

Where did you get the boats?

Ebay , Small mods , repainted , re-named the John B and put in on another flat and added the bracing . The other big one I put on another flat and added details maybe and bracing . The ugly little one was repainted , put on another flat I think , and bracing added .
