Tell me I shouldn't buy a $60 4-4-0

You are right about the over hang in the back. That is why I had to re-locate the motor in the tender (in the photo I posted the drive shaft is removed)

First I used this photo and sized it so the drivers were the same size as the Model Powers

I pushed back the lead truck closer to the drivers and put the motor in the tender:




The Baldwin also has the motor in the tender:


I sold both locomotives and the link David gave is me starting another camelback.

  The MP 4-4-0 is a nice little locomotive,I pulled 20 cars with my CN lettered version at a train show in March probably close to what a real small loco of this type could pull 25-30 cars ? The coupler on the pilot allows for doubleheading with say the MP 2-6-0 and a Z Scale coupler can be fitted to the tender of both the 4-4-0 and the 2-6-0 (see my post on this way back in March. Besides that who else make model steamers letterd for such roads as B&M,ACL,Long Gisland (LI),The Looie( M.&St.P.)and several other obscure companies. The price sure is right. Too bad no Un Decs,mine comes with tons of extra goodies,different cabs, pilots, etc.Well worth the price only flaw I found in doing CN researching the herald on the tender is one that while used by CN on steam was never on 4-4-0's.                                          Nate Goodman (Nato).
