I don't know many people actually interested in the subject matter, but there the Jackson Township Historical Preservation Facebook page is a great source for pictures. It's got tons of pictures from southwest PA.

If we could only speed up the technological advances in robotic miniaturization https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=32674.0 and get our CMW/Athearn vehicles moving on their own, then we could have animated scenes like those shown in this 8mm video (from the Facebook page you referenced). The good stuff starts around 1-2 minute mark.

I have some Miniatures by Eric resin trolley shells (along with the Bachmann PCC) that could be easily kitbashed into Johnstown Traction Co cars. Just need to have some decals made. Haven't looked at Shapeways recently but the N Traction Yahoo group does periodically have members posting photos of their painted FUD shells.

You are probably right. I just watched a DVD of PRR & Reading steam engines in the early 1950s and viewed a freight train with a tank car right behind the steam engine.

Another reason to model the early 50s - fewer safety rules! 

Could have been one of these:

Got my Goodnight Mattress kit in, now I can build that covered unloading section for the Greytech Heavy Industries building.

And, the place had their pictures swapped for the Goodnight Mattress and Gripp's Luggage kits. This isn't going to work. I still feel like I'm being -ed

Here is what I am working on at the moment. Getting a few GHQ and Showcase models done. Mainly working on the construction equipment for the lumber yard. The tank trailer is a kitbash I have yet to finish.
Log loader just needs glass and forklift is done. Log Crane is not in the picture.
