Ufda I don't know. I enjoyed doing these, and their round counterparts should be easy, but a whole gp11 is a fair bit outside my skill level and free time. The filter boxes on either side might be doable though...

Hi Folks

Just wondering if the n-scale Horst air filter aspect of this project ever went anywhere. I see the item on Shapeways, but it's still marked "not for sale".

Thanks,
Harry

Still working in this. I've got another sample ordered to see if some minor changes look better. Should see them this week and will report back!

I finally got the last samples in. My attempts to reduce the cost of these things were in vain, so I reverted back to the original design. I photographed them and they are now available. They are not cheap, but they are available. The only person getting rich off this is Shapeways, but it's still a cool process and was fun to do, not to mention filling what I think was a gap in N scale parts.  I will be modifying the design for the ICG GP10 round style and then... well... I've got a bunch of neat ideas, we'll see what happens!

I've seen much worse pricing than this.Don't have a need for them yet but I've added your page to see what other goodies you can come up with. :D

For those that were interested in the GP10 units, modifications to the design are done and they are now available as well. I didn't order a sample of them, but I will next time I am placing an order. The whole shipping cost thing... I have no reason to believe these wouldn't work as well as the first design did though, they are essentially the same just sans flares.

I found a guy on shapeways doing exhaust stacks that should come in handy for an SD10.
