Bachmann Alco S-4 and 2-6-0

 I had forgoten about the revised Lt. Mountain. Yes, that has the DCC ready tender with the solder pads. The 2-8-0 with a DCC ready tender is a new one on me. I hadn't seen one of those yet but I hope it is a trend from them. I like harness setup for ease of swaping tenders and adding decoders to DC loco's.

I hope so too. I wanted to build a B&M Heavy Mountain, but it requires a larger tender and I didn't know about the capabilities of swapping out. N steam is only 2 weeks old to me

I have a Bachmann 4-8-2 heavy mountain that is B'mann item number 81654; it is dual mode.
Thus it would not need to be converted to DCC.  The one in my roster is a vandy tender, probably purchased from MBK.
I have not checked recently to determine if the engine is still available.

Hmm,
this thread seemed to start as s simple announcement that Bachmann will be making 2 locomotives.

I actually think it would be a good idea to discuss each of those locos in separate threads. After all, they are models of totally different locomotives.  One is a steamer and the other a diesel. They are like apples and oranges (both fruit but different fruit).
