I finally finished stripping the old paint on my LifeLike,Penn Central SW-(something or another),shell.All parts have been washed, and ready for paint.
I am hoping to get it through the paint shop sometime this week. (yeah right )

Also met with the local  gang,at the Timonium show on Saturday,purchased a new LifeLike PRR C424,my first new locomotive purchases in a long time.
It runs great,but I'm not too fond of the rather large gap between the frame,and trucks. Otherwise a very nice engine.

Daniel, Very nice plow, looks dead on.

As for me, not much picture worthy yet but I am working on the benchwork for the branch line area.  I have about 2/3 of it finished.  Also have all the track/turnouts on hand for installation, so should be able to make more progress on it this week.

Hi Dave,

All the best. They are marvelous these days with what they can do. I hope it all goes well. Nothing worse than the left leg doing a "laughin" when doing PT. Head over heals. One of the common result of service life.

I started off the week with a whole bunch of decoders and a whole bunch of non DCC loco's. So I spent the week putting in decoders, cleaning mechanisms of the older used locos (and removing the excess lube from some new ones) and speed matching them all. I finally got my automated speed matching loop working so as I finished putting the decoders in the loco's they'd go on the loop for a little warm up and then speed matching. The timing worked out pretty good. I could put a decoder in a loco in the amount of time it took to speed match one so it was a pretty good flow. After a little bit of tweaking a few finicky  locos I loaded up the test track with all the locos I had been working on. To my surprise they all fit on the loop coupler to coupler perfectly! So I took em for a spin. They're all MU'd together and running on one throttle and they make quite a sound as they move.

Even if you are still working? Damn...   We get 66 2/3's, but you have to retire from the NH Pension Fund.

Regardless. They called for 6" on Saturday...we got 22"... Not bad at all. Except for the day after it was 50 out so the snow started to quickly melt. Since we are using the sap house this winter we have to keep the line open, so we started out with the field loop, which had about 12" over the rail, and then out into the woods were we still had about 18" to deal with. And since we were not expecting snow this soon the Russel snow plow we are rebuilding was still in the shop and not ready for the line...so some pilot plowing with the GP9's were in order.
