Being in da noahth I can get blue and pink. I Usually get the pink Foamular at HD, but I was at Lowes last weekend and needed to get a few sheets for the layout, so I picked up their blue Styrofoam that they carry since I was there. I thought that it felt different (and was $3 more expensive than the Foamular at HD) but I did not want to make the extra 5 mile trip to HD, so I bought it.  Got it home and installed it on the layout, and I'm not buying it again. I can normally lay a Foamular 2x2x8 sheet on a 2x8 frame with no support and have it be pretty rigid, and with the blue Styrofoam I was not impressed with how it easily sagged in in the middle and did not seem to support as much weight. Just my observations, but Im gonna stick with the pink Foamular, and at a cheaper price too (at least up here pink is $10 and blue is $13)
I WANNA SEE THE BOAT MOVIE!

Yes... I'm in N... Also HO and 1:1

Interesting about the sagging, Ian - hadn't noticed that yet. Definitely 'preciate the side-by-side comparison. H-D's 2" pink can be even cheaper here than Lowe's blue (sort of depends on when you buy), so that makes the decision about how far to drive that much easier.

The blue has always seemed softer to me.

What are you specifying in your product search?

http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productList&No=12&Ne=4294967294&Ntt=insultated&Ntk=i_products&N=4294961544

When you go there , check a bit lower , there is the 2" x 2' x 8' blue foam showed .

Unfortunately it's not available at any Lowes in Maryland. They stock it in Burlington, VT. though.

Best source would be a real Lumber yard. Contractors use the stuff by the truck load around foundation walls.
