As a result of some recent relettering/renumbering of the GP35 at the far end of the consist and the SDP35 at the near end, I now have three Seaboard Coast Line 35-series motors that are perfect for an early 1970s era.

It's an Atlas HO model. Dave models in HO.

And it is a very nice model. I wish they'd do it in N.

I finished up the Rokuhan SP S-10 0-6-0 with some weathering:





..and started this structure project for the East Norwood layout.  It's an Archistories REA Express building kit, but being modified to more resemble an old manufacturing facility updated with blanked out windows/doors to the 1980s-2000s.  It's to be the stand-in for Rumpke Recycling.   These Archistories kits are really amazing.  I have one of their grain elevators I want to build one of these days as an "off line" source of freight for the layout.

Decent progress this weekend on my NE-3 build - got the cabinet walls and interior bulkheads constructed and temporarily glued in place for a fit check. Looks like I'll need to redo one of the bulkheads as it is pulling away from the wall...




I also temporarily added the end walls to the caboose to get an idea of how it will look, and I'm getting excited at how its starting to come together!





Next steps are to finish some interior details (bunks, sink, table, etc.) and then start working on the roof. Once the interior details are completed I will probably get it painted and finalize its installation so I can also get the windows going. Having a lot of fun here!!

So if you put together a long (10? 20? more?) cut of those without weights, at what point does stringlining on curves start to become a concern?    I should think you could get a fair number together, provided (1) they are free-rolling, (2) your curves are not unreasonably tight; and (3) you don't tack any heavy cars on the end.

Does Archistories offer any N scale structures?

I thought someone might ask this-- from what I can tell, they only have a couple N-scale kits and they are of European prototypes. 
Archistories definitely have a good selection of Z scale North American style models and it's rather surprising they aren't also available in N--maybe there's too much already offered there?
