Probably just doing what's most current now. I was hoping for the CSX 911 (Fire unit) and the BNSF 25ths as well. But those are all "old now". Im sure we will get them in a later run, but it is disappointing they didn't just duplicate the original FVM rerun from a few years ago.

and I'm left wondering if it's because they are going to be waiting to get the raised intercooler fans, or better capture the variety of PTC arrays, or something... The H0 ones were pretty much a per-unit model.

Below is the rear of 6078, with the raised intercooler fans. It's got a slightly different antenna configuration than the one they are offering on this run. Otherwise it looks the same on this side... unfortunately I don't have a left side shot of 6078.

For those who did preorder the initial FVM run from a few years ago check your emails. Scaletrains did send an email stating that you are eligible for 15% off this first run since you preordered the original FVM ones. The instructions are in the email and after doing it myself the price for DCC/Sound is $216.74 and for DC $127.49

I feel slightly jaded in regards to this first run announcement, and the offering of 15% off. Seems like it will only be offered for it, and not any runs after. I honestly have zero interest in the CSX Heritage motors, and thats 5 of the 12 offerings in the run. So out of my original order of 6 units, I may get 2 with the new run of ES44s, and I'll be curious how much different if/when they finally announce the SD70ACe. Both were announced FVM offerings back in 2022.

With all that modular, cool tooling investment, I am going to beat my drum: I wonder if they still are putting holes in the fuel tank (if that is where the speaker is) to let the sound out and keep the factory sound tinny?
