Yup! Almost missed it there at the end, but it certainly sounds like trucks and couplers are forthcoming! Meanwhile, I'm guarding my stash of 1015-1s!

Nothing there for me, but that's not surprising.  My era is half a century old!  The weathered BN, GN, and NP cars would have been either newly painted or only a few years old back then, and those filthy GONX cars hadn't even been designed.

Good to see the trucks and couplers returning, though.

Yeah...what's coming out looks good, but none of it's in my era, so I won't be buying anything.  My era is between 70 and 80 years old (1947 thru 1956)...and, I too am not surprised.

Like the previous couple comments... nothing for us transition modelers, so no orders from me from this current newsletter.  But good to see positive plans on trucks and couplers, and even mention of parts, although I note that all the pics are of tools (but, we need those, too).

On the (very) bright side, I note that the pricing on the new offerings is consistent with MTL pricing of recent years- NO big price increase. At least for the time being (I assume that they are working on body shells that were already in inventory when Atlas took over).  But in any case, not the big price jump that some were predicting.  If I were a modern era modeler, I'd be scooping those cars up.

I'm sure collectors will be happily scooping up the "250" cars, which will hopefully provide some capital for future projects and maybe a new body style or two. (COMBINE, and maybe retool the old 14 panel gondola to 53' - personally, I'd like the ATSF 68/69/80/87- just a suggestion)

So, all in all, good news, even if there's nothing for my railroad this time around.

Some time ago they held an online event with the Atlas product managers Matt and Ross in New Jersey and a young lady named Elizabeth Peterson in Oregon who seems to be the local manager (or kind of).  It seemed to me that the Oregon facility specializes on the Micro Trains printing process and the respective experts' competence and know-how.

Buried in there was mention of 1776 paint schemes from CN and CPKC.  I wondered what these look like and found this for CN 1776 https://www.railwayage.com/freight/class-i/first-look-cn-1776-cn-2026/ WOW! The screaming eagle is amazing, I need one!  2026, not so much.
