I’ve recently completed the Empire State Express Hudson. It was a pretty nice kit. The only issue that I had was the tiny air bubbles left over from the casting process. I filled them with Tamiya putty mixed with their lacquer thinner. It took several rounds of fill and sand to clean everything up.
The other build notes I can think of is for the wheels and handrails. For the disc drivers the Con-Cor side rod pins are pressed in place. Squadron putty was used to fill the drivers in.
I highly recommend disassembling all that linkage and such from the wheels in a sandwich or freezer bag so things don’t fly into never ever land.
The handrail template is very good, but attaching the stanchions is finicky. Canopy glue helped a lot during this step.
Here’s some photos I took during the build, let me know if you have any questions!
