Online voting for the Twenty-second Annual N Scale Vehicle of the Year is now open.  You can vote online here: https://www.nscaleenthusiast.com/nsestore/NSE_Vehicle_Voting26.asp

Be sure to vote for one New model and one Enhanced model.  See sample ballot below.

There have been reports that the online voting on the NSE web page does not work for everyone.  You need to scroll down to the bottom of the page, and do not click on the sample ballot image.  The image appears to be linked to something, but it is not.  At the bottom of the page, you will see the following text with what should be drop-down boxes next to the text to assist you in voting:

Enter one NEW choice A,B,C
Enter one ENHANCED choice F,G,H,J
Your Name
Your NEW Choice
Your ENHANCED Choice
N Scale Vehicle 26 Ballot
Word Verification

While I am not able to see the “drop-down arrows” in the drop-down boxes, they do seem to work for most people when they enter A, B, or C for the New model choice, and F, G, or H for the Enhanced model choice.  If you are among those (like me) that do not see any drop-down arrows I think you can go ahead and enter the letters (only one in each box) that represent your choice for the New and Enhanced N Scale Vehicle of the Year Award.  An alternative method for voting is sending an email directly to me (Carter).  Apparently the NSE magazine did not have the enclosed ballot, but I have received one mailed in vote that was page 14 from the magazine.  Please, do not feel compelled to damage your magazine in order to vote.  Just right down your choices and mail (USPS) them to me at the address shown in the NSE magazine, or you can email to me at the email address shown in the NSE magazine.

I will not be able to attend the convention this year, so I would encourage everyone to vote early if at all possible.  This will be helpful in counting the votes!  And, more than 50 people have successfully voted online so far.  A big thank you to those who have already voted!

Edit: If you just enter the letter for your choices, those choices may appear in the drop down boxes.  However, you will likely get this message: "The code you entered did not match. Please try again" If you did get that message, and then clicked the "I am not a robot" box, and then clicked continue, please let me know so I can tell if the vote was actually submitted.  Thank you!

Just a reminder that the online voting for the N Scale Vehicle of the Year awards closes on May 31, 2026.  Thank you to all who have voted!  However, if you are waiting to vote in-person at the National N Scale Convention, I do not know for sure how that voting will be accommodated.

But I do know your vote will definitely be tabulated if you vote online on the N Scale Enthusiast’s website by May 31st.  Here is the link to the online ballot: https://www.nscaleenthusiast.com/nsestore/NSE_Vehicle_Voting26.asp

Thank you for your participation in selecting the N Scale Vehicle of the Year Awards!  :D

The ballots are printed and the voting is ready for the National N Scale Convention. They will be housed in the Contest Room, and the votes will be counted and sent immediately to Carter.

We will miss Carter and Mrs Carter at the convention, but we understand that life sometimes takes priority.

Thank you George.  Since the ballots were not included with the NSE magazine, I was not sure if they would be available at the convention.  Only one "vote by mail" ballot has been submitted, and that person tore the page announcing the nominees out of the NSE magazine, which happened to have the last page on my article reviewing the Showcase Miniatures and Showcase/MAC models released in 2025 on the other side of it. He could have sent his choices on a plain piece of paper rather than ruining his magazine.  :(
