I saw a news clip (unrelated to the subject line) showing the MBTA commuter train pulled by a NYC loco.  It looks pretty spiffy! It apparently operates in routes which do nto go near where I live.

The MBTA doesn't move power between South and North Station lines unless they have to; I'd imagine that loco might stay on the south side, especially since the Worcester line is former NYC, if the T cares at all about that sort of thing.

Yes, I live in the area served by MBTA on the north Station side, so these units have not made an appearance yet. But at some point they might need some motive power and will send one of these units to the North side.
