Shell swap

Does anyone know if an old Intermountain F7 shell will fit onto a newer Intermountain DCC sound unit ?  It worked for me on an Atlas unit but not sure if would here. Also does anyone have any heads up on the Intermountain DCC sound units?

I have done this swap several times. It fits fine, although in some cases a tad bit loose, especially the B units (maybe because the new shells accommodate fittings for a backup light, which the old ones don't have)? I've rectified that with double-sided tape and sometimes little shims.
