What is the part number for the smallest red/green LED out there?  Is it 0402 or something like that?  Pre-wired ones would be nice.   I'm building some in N-scale.  Thanks for any help.

I've used quite a few of the following 0402 LED's (different colors) and so far they all work and are wired and 20 for $10.  Best way I've found to strip them so far if you shorten the leads up is to nick them with an Exacto knife and pull the insulation off with your finger nails or burn it off with your iron.

I've also bought the following white 0201 (really, really small) ones but haven't seen them in red/green on Amazon....

0201 LED HERE

I plan on using some of those for decoder installs and other lighting where I need a very small light.

Thanks Sumner for including the info for the 0201's.  I too would like those for my decoder installs for head and ditch lights, maybe even step lights.

I usually buy my micro LEDs from AliExpress. all manner of sizes there, all come prewired. Just have to add resistors. You can also get bi-colour LEDs in 0402 size. I've been using them for all my lighting needs. Brilliant amount of light output.
