Alternative for tie stain? Micro-mark stain gone!

I've been using Micro-Mark tie stain forever, gone through bottles of the stuff.

I've got a big stripwood project underway for the Barge Yard trestle....and went to order more.  It's gone    My favorite was the 'brown-gray' 83760.

I 'think' it was an alcohol base, don't know, but wondering what others are using for stripwood stain.   

Well, that was fun while it lasted.   Projects like this ate a whole lot of it, the entire McCabe Mill facility was stained.    This is the color I still want to hit:

That's not a classic 'india ink", it's better than that, no idea how to replicate it now.

 Powdered Wood Dye (from Amazon) in IPA works for me.

Wow, a lot of them out there.   What brand did you use?   ISP as the solvent is perfect.

I just need gray, black, brown.   I see there's a veritable rainbow though.

 Transol It has 5 packets of color. Use very little powder to start and add till you get what your looking for

We live in a world of abbreviations and acronyms (some more or less obvious).  I guess my brain was thinking "Internet Service Provider" not ISoPropanol.  One-track mind.

OK, got my order in.   Forum to the rescue again.  I expected a 'magic formula' but I'd rather order a bottle.

No, Micro-Mark is not gone, but it's not promising either.   No more mailed catalogs.  Huge list of closeouts.  The website isn't exactly excellent for search and display.   Some of the supplies I counted on like tie stain, some paints, 10-1 molding rubber, etc. - a lot of the 'Micro-Mark' branded stuff, were discontinued without notice.  The molding rubber in particular was excellent and they had said it would be restocked, now discontinued.      I've literally made hundreds of molds using that stuff and it's really held up.

 When you don't have a hobby shop within 100 miles, life depends on suppliers, and it seems to be getting tougher.
