SBL freelance HEP/Steam card build.

Hey everybody, this project evolved pretty fast, and having the entire day to myself I was able to sit down and knock most of it out. Still have a few small things to do but here we go. I started with this box car, which is a basic 50 ft boxcar, I'm pretty sure was made by life-like.

First thing was to get rid of the way too thick doors, rails, and roofwalks, then plug the holes with styrine.

Next ai decided that the HEP generator would go one one end, and the steam generator on the other, so center doors would make sense.

More details added. Stole an exhaust stack from a scrap loco shell, and grills for the radiators from another shell. The boiler vents are a truck pin, shaped with a file, and a piece of styrine rod.

I still need to do grab irons, ladders, steps, roof walks, and prime. I think the water tank is going to be underslung under the car, so I need to build that still. Then I need to design a paint scheme. but overall happy with a days progress

An interesting idea for the 70s transition from steam to HEP.  Run any car with any loco, regardless of whether it's steam heated or HEP.
