If they ever decide to do appropriately detailed NKP models (no dynamic brakes, bell in nose, horizontal nose headlight) I'm in trouble - till then I'm OK with my Atlas generics in NKP.

Is "distressed paint" a new offering?  Looking at the CSX-B&O patch job.   Is this pre-faded or more like weathering?
Sadly these aren't in Z so I'm just spectating for now.

In late 1993- Early 1994 CR reactivated many GP30/GP35 due to a power shirtage. They showed up all over the place - I remember seeing a PIOI at New Market with a GP30 in the lead, running backwards (!) with the usual SD50/C40-8W trailing.

I also recall a conversation with the Allentown Yardmaster who said they kept sending him these junkpiles and he sent them out immediately on the next train to get rid of them.

And btw - on several occasions in Allentown or NJ I saw run through CSXT GP30's in the B&O capitol blue patch scheme...

Ironically, I think you're better served by this release then I am. Trying to find one that was blue before 79 in this group has been a challenge.

Yep. Apparently EMD took a bunch of stuff back at the the end of their leases that Conrail hadn't been planning for. Therefore some 30s and 35s got a new lease on life.

It's the same situation with the GP8/10s. Ever wonder why one of THOSE got the Quality paint while no MP15 did?

Very East Coast weighted road name selections. Cheesie and GM&O mia though, along with the NKP.  Saw some of the first run in person last year at Timonium on the BANTRAK layout and they are little jewels.

I found and downloaded a photo of CR 2209 in pretty fresh blue paint at Altoona in May of 1977.  I also have a photo of 2209 at Rutherford in October of 1977.  Not sure where they came from, but if the dates are accurate, there is your winner.  I have a photo of CR 2200 in Bethlehem in 1980, and it is a little dirty, but not excessive.  That number might work also.  FWIW, CR 2212 and CR 2216 are shown in the Withers 1986-1991 CR book on the property in 1991.  There is a photo of CR 2212 at Holidaysburg in September of 1984 in the Gordon Lloyd CR Motive Power book.  I can use any of the four numbers, I just need to settle on two non sound units as they were headed to storage in 1984 / 85.  Thanks.
