FEDEX delivery trucks

I printed a set, painted them and made decals on an Epson InkJet printer.

I agree that it is nice of GGNInNScale to share the designs, but if this is directed at me, I wish I could.  I have not gotten into CAD 3D modeling. That is a hobby unto itself

But I think it is not wrong to voice my views on things. After all, this is the Railwire.

Not directed at you at all. .. I was just pointing out that it’s possible to modify the design to suit oneself.  Never stop voicing your views.  They are always valuable

The proportions are within about 100 microns (in scale).  I took the dimensions from the company that builds the trucks (Utilimaster), and scaled them.  Any off-scale is the camera distortion, I believe.  There is about 1-2% shrinkage in the print, and I did not compensate (not worth it).

Well then, I'll take your word for it.  The shape (angles) of the nose seems odd for some reason.  I guess it is the photo.

 I don't have a 3D printer.  If someone is planing on printing some of these, please PM me as I would be interested in asking them to print more for a reasonable fee.

I'll have to admit to not sharing a number of things on here that I've designed and put the print files up on thingiverse because I'm usually trying to get 'close to something' or 'generic close' and don't want to hear how it isn't exactly 'this or that'.

I can understand the feedback if I represent a design to be an exact replica....then go for it but otherwise if it deters people from posting on here I believe it is a loss for all of us.

I don't mind the feedback -- when I post a design here, it's to share, and I really don't care if it meets someones standard of fidelity .. My client is me!!   If I were selling the item, then yes, be critical .. In Nscale, close enough is good enough for me, or pay $79.99 for that W kit that doesn't look much better from three feet .

The thing to remember, when a designer puts something up online, for sale or for free, it's still better than nothing at all ..

Indeed FedEx has a bunch of different package vans..  Ford, Freightliner/Utilimaster, Isuzu, Dodge/Mercedes Sprinters, some weird electrics ones, etc. and varying ages.

I did a search for Utilimaster step vans and that name seems to be used by Ford, GMC, Freighliner and others.  Lots of body shape variations too.

I guess I'm guilty of going my what I see around my neighborhood.

That looks like a Grumman body, The F59 reference is a chassis/powertrain which could be underneath.

Can confirm the above to be true.  Customer specifies the chassis, and the manufacturer of the body to drop on it.  Ford does not build cargo bodies.
