I recently purchased an Atlas DCC/sound SD9 (#5472) and an older Kato SD9 (#5466), both in Black Widow paint. I also have an older Kato SD9 (#5392) purchased several years ago. As you can see in the pics, especially the partial roof views, the silver along the tops of the hoods is a different amount between the 5466 and the 5392. The 5392 is mostly on the end "faces" of the loco, whereas the silver on 5466 (and 5472, not pictured) goes back by what I assume is several actual inches on the prototype. My question is: Which paint scheme is correct? Any SP Black Widow gurus care to chime in? I'm no expert, but from the pics I've been able to locate online it seems the 5392 is wrong. I found a recent pic of the restored 5472, and it looks the same as my 5472 and 5466. I was not able to locate any period photos of 5392 showing roof paint.

Pics 1 and 3 show the main difference in the silver paint along the top of the hood. If 5392 is wrong, as I suspect, it should be an easy fix with some masking and airbrushing the silver.
Thanks!
