What does this mean? I've not been at all a fan of CSX either as an investor or railfan since long ago, so haven't kept tabs on their operations for several years. Their rep from the '80s and '90s for shoddy practices sorta stuck with me.

That's my take. "You'll get paid... handsomely."

"Performance goals" also bothers me. Are there any customer service metrics in play? It's CSX, so I doubt it.

No kidding. I lived in Atlanta in the '80s and was a front-row witness to their ravenous dismantling of frickin' everything.
