This week I don't like that it's Thursday. We're spending the week at the beach and this is a reminder that we're one day closer to our drive home.
That said... on our drive down here something happened that I simply cannot believe. We were driving down the Caratoke Highway on the way to the Outer Banks. The original Norfolk Southern parallels us for a bit, and every year that we've been coming down here I've always thought it'd be cool to see something moving on it. I never thought I would though. But this year we were doing the drive on a Monday.
I glanced over and saw some hoppers. Then I said to Terri, "Are those moving??". They were. And we would be crossing the tracks in about half a mile. Whoa.
I gave up proper lighting so we wouldn't be stuck waiting for the train (who knows how long that'd take and we had an appointment with a hot tub), but this turned out pretty cool.
