Looking for an Alco RS2 Steam Generator Exhust Stack

 I just purchased a Kato RS2 # 8219 in the gray lightning stripe. While I cannot find a photo of 8219, I did find one of 8217 and it has the slanted exhust at the cab. I have Googled and looked at every site I know of but can't find one for N scale. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Most of the NYCS DRSP-2 had the stovepipe escape stack at the end of the short hood.  On these, the vent stack went somewhere else, but I forget where.  I can not find my NYCS diesel book, right now, and, I forget exactly where the vent stack moved.  Most of the DRSP-6 had the "factory" or slanted stack against the cab but there were some that had the stovepipe stack.  D&H also had RS-2s and -3s with stovepipe stacks.

That's not that impossible to make, really, just start with some thicker styrene (or laminated up) and start filing.

I got similarly stuck trying to find the odd stacks on ATSF S2's and finally just made one crushed up from aluminum tube.

That's not your particular fix, but the point is that at some point its easier to make than to search.

Thanks to everyone who replied! I do belive my problem has been solved thanks to Brokemoto.
Rangust, that photo from rrpictures archives is the only photo I could find and it was of 8217 so i figured 8219 should be the same.

To sort-of hijack this thread, for those of us out there who model roads not using stove pipes, (New Haven for me personally), what is the best option? Styrene? Or is there an existent part out there?

I believe that is the exhaust for the steam generator in the short hood.  At least that is what that was on the B&M RS-3 I modeled.
Yes, that item was available as a cast metal piece from one of the cottage manufacturers (JnJ?), but as Randy mentioned, it could be easily shaped from a piece of styrene.  The cast item also came with the casting of a water hatch for the top of the short hood. It would be also nice if one of the today's 3D printers produced it for sale.

For my NH Alcos so did I. I used a short piece of tubing and the rst of it styrene shaped for the slant. A small square of styrene serves as the water hatch. Simple. The thing I found hard to make was the train control box on the walkway ahead of the cab. (not shown)

Hi All!
    When Shapeways was going strong, and the N-Scale parts were pages long, a company did make printed Alco Steam Generator exhaust stacks ( the angled stacks next to the cab on the RS-2/3 etc., were factory installations) and the intakes. I think you got 4 or 8 sets in a package. I have several left over, but since the move to a smaller house (  ) I have yet to find them. When I do, I/ll post the find.
