ESM Wood Caboose fiasco

Long anticipated wait for the ESM wood caboose to finally dropped to the market. A few of us vultures hoarded them up
I immediately got to work on assembling mine and was pleasantly surprised how relatively smooth the assembly went with a few minor issues. I would say it was therapeutic?
I would do a few minor things differently before assembly
Such as paint the roof if I was modeling that prototype color.
Also bend the underframe of the roofwalk differently. Other than not being able to properly use Z scale couplers on it. ESM knocked this one out of the park. All together It was fairly simple and the next bunch should go smoother.

A caboose roof-painting tip if black and different than the main body color — brush paint with Polly-Scale’s Engine Black / Weathered Black (or the rebranded Testor’s Model Master acrylic successor) using a soft brush, as it settles while wet and doesn’t leave brush marks.

Looks like a nice caboose model!  However, the trucks don't look like Bettendorf T-section caboose trucks (which they are advertised as being).  Note that the model trucks have coil springs, and most caboose trucks were equipped with (elliptical) leaf springs in the early caboose era.

Here's what Bettendorf T-section, leaf-spring caboose trucks look like:

As far as I know, nobody manufactures the Barber-Bettendorf 30ton T-section caboose truck with proper elliptical springs in N-scale.

Looks like a nice caboose model!  However, the trucks don't look like Bettendorf T-section caboose trucks (which they are advertised as being).  Note that the model trucks have coil springs, and most caboose trucks were equipped with (elliptical) leaf springs in the early caboose era.

I think those are the same type of trucks I used when I built one of the DLW caboose in HO.  I think @Lemosteam made them.  Maybe a scaling down is in order?
