Sad to hear this.  The first live steam I ever saw was C&O 614.

RIP Ross.

My memories extend back to his High Iron Company days.

Ross's legacy was complicated.

He did some amazing things.

But later in life he proudly espoused some views that highly impacted his ability to achieve the things he was hoping to in the railroad world.

I feel like he's a good example of "Don't meet your heroes".
