Structure Lighting Connectors

I started wiring up my Z-scale engine house with exterior lighting; 



I'm using 0201 LEDs, 3v max with fine "magnet wire" leads.  I want to be able to remove the structure from the layout if necessary;  Currently I have just wired the lights and run the leads down the interior wall, thenthrough the base of the layout in 1mm holes;  I was going to wire them to a terminal strip with screw posts, so they could be un-screwed if removing the structure above.   This seems like a pain especially since I'll have to thread the leads back down through that tiny hole each time..  What's the best way to manage these connections?  Are there tiny 2-lead connectors that wouldn't be too obtrusive above the layout/inside the structure?  Ideally I'd like a 2-pole "needle" plug (about 1mm diameter, 2-3 in long), I'd solder the leads inside the structure to this, and it could be poked through the hole in the base easily and plug into a 2-pole female plug.  Does this exist?  I suppose I could make a crude one from brass tube.. Any suggestions?

I would use some of those jumper wire thingies with the plugs on the end.

On my z scale layout Im using the Woodland Scenics just plug system, It is a fairly small plug, the wires are flexible,  and if I'm not mistaken there is a resistor near the LED.
If you dont use the supplied LEDs just snip it off and use everything else. the system itself uses dimmers for each plug so you can set the brightness to what you need.

On a similar structure on friends layout I uses brass rod pins in the diagonally opposite cornets of the structure. Those extend below the bottom of the building and plug into sockets installed in the layout.  They serve both, to align and hold the building down, and also to conducts electricity to the interior lights.

They are hidden in the I-beam legs of the train shed.
