GARAGE SALE:
We have an exciting announcement for those of you who love to kitbash, need parts, or are looking for a great deal.
On June 7th, we are hosting a garage sale! This event will be a one day only event at our headquarters here in Florida.
Our address is 9 East Tower Circle, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
- Here is what you need to know.
- Event will go from 8 AM to 5 PM on June 7th
- This in person event will allow visitors to get first dibs at whatever parts they want!
- Parts include shells, wheels, chassis and more!
- If you can't make the in person event, you will be able to purchase grab bags online for $29.99!
- Grab bags can be chosen by the scale (HO or N) and are guaranteed 2 pounds of parts per bag, however parts in the bag will be randomized.
- If you can't make it you can order your grab bag now, but they will be shipped AFTER the June 7th Garage sale.
Whether you're an experienced modeler or just starting out, this grab bag is a fun and affordable way to expand your parts collection and let your imagination run wild. Every bag is different, so you'll never know exactly what you're going to get—but that's half the fun!
Supplies are limited, so don’t miss your chance to grab one while they last! Sales begin on June 7th—mark your calendars for our in-person event. If you can’t attend, be sure to watch for our announcement on the website and social media.

Got my box today, and it's almost like they took a junk drawer and dumped it in a box.  I figured maybe some care would be taken packing the box but not really.  Paper in the bottom, just drawer middle, topped with more paper.  Handrails in the bottom that were probably in very good/excellent shape, ended up bent and broken.  Won't do this again myself

Same situation. Just dumped in the box.

I did one of these for HO stuff from BLI years ago and it was better packaged.

Does that PRR T1 4-4-4-4 mechanism run?  That seems like it'd be worth the price.

Pins missing, side rods and other pieces bent to hell.

After watching someone unbox another one on YT, I've decided to pack everything back up in the box and sent it back to BLI with a note of disappointment and will not be taking part in the next garage sale.  Theres a difference between usable parts stash and stuff that belongs in the dumpster.  Also, for a guarantee of 2 lbs of parts, when I weighed the box to send back, it only came out at 1.4 lbs.  Of course, now I know it would likely be another .6 lb of junk

What a scam!  It'll be curious if they will even reply (and what kind) if you send it back to them just to make a point!

The worst part is that a bunch of this stuff might’ve been fine before they just dumped it in boxes.

What a shame.

Well, it is a grab bag. Ya get what ya get. I bought one out of pure curiosity. The couple of shells and broken mechs I got are nice enough perhaps to cobble together some "under repair" units for decoration around an engine house or boneyard. Nothing approaching running by any means. And of course it's all very BLI specific. I won't send mine back. But I am unlikely to try another in the future.

I'm curious if the stuff was broken junk when they sent it? Or was it decent stuff poorly packed and damaged in transit?

How much did you pay for this box of stuff?

It definitly makes for bad PR and makes it look like they are trying to rip off their customers by "making those suckers pay for garbage"  :|

WOW!  That is a sorry way for a company to trash its reputation!

They were $29.99 plus shipping, which is UPS and think it ran $15.  So $45.  Not terrible but enough I was hoping for some usable parts.  For some of you that are more mechanically inclined, they still might be OK.  But like I said on the steam chassis, there are rods jacked up in multiple places.  Maybe someone could get them straight and balanced, but beyond my skill set or desire to mess with.  Perhaps the $30 price should have been a red flag when 1 shell has cost me $60 in the past ( and that still arrived out of the junk drawer).  But now I know fir sure to steer clear

I was streaming tonight and one of my viewers purchased two mystery boxes.... One HO and one N..

Overall it was about $90 total for the pair.

Packaging for him was also horrible..N scale and HO thrown together in a box with no packing...

But for him.. He was expecting 4 lbs worth of stuff and he got 9 lbs..

He got a few complete cryo cars, several chassis and a bunch of shells.. He was working on putting together complete locomotives..
