Atlas 4 axle Uboat shell swaps

Does anyone have any ideas if the recent Atlas Gold 4 axle U23B  frames might host the older U25B body?

There's a 41" difference in wheelbase. Even if the shell fit it would look goofy.

And the answer is...

Sources at various places have the truck centers at 36' 02" for all 4 axle uboats.  https://trainiax.net/mephase-geub.php

Side by side, the 45966 U23B and my old Kato-built U25B match up pretty good:




However, trying to stuff the U25B shell onto the U23B mechanism is a non-starter.  The newer model frame is slightly wider  11.1 mm vs 10.4 mm.

So the answer is:

No!
