Has anybody ever model the Spring season on their layout?

As I drive around here on nice sunny days in the Northeast U.S. in mid-April, I see all the dead vegetation coming back to life. Tree canopies developing those bright green or yellow-green leaves, resulting in a lacy look of hints of bright green with the structure of the canopy still visible. Then there are still bare trees with the redish buds appearing all over them, making the tree look like someone gave it a gentle overspray of redish paint.   Then there are trees which flower before leaves develop, so the entire tree is covered with large bright white, pink or other color flowers.  Same with bushes like the Forsythia with their bright sunny yellow flowers.  Then there is luscious green grass covering lawns and, lots of very colorful flowers blooming all around.  Everything's coming back to life looking lucious and fresh.

Most train layouts seem to depict mid-summer scenery. Sure here are some winter scenes, and also Autumn with its bright foliage colors, but don't ever recall someone modeling those fresh looking Spring colors.

I have thought about it. But I usually stick with winter because I feel it better contrasts the trains I model in a way that highlights them..

Pete, I’m sure you recall @Hornwrecker layout.

He is brilliant at capturing flowing trees and bushes, and the rolling hill masterpiece through the trees halfway into his layout thread…

Thanks for the trip down the memory lane guys.  TBH, I don't often peek into the Layouts section of the forum (too busy dealing with DCC or trying to poke the hornet's nests in the Crew Lounge).  :D

For some reason this Spring seems to look better than ever, and it made me think of capturing this in miniature.
