I was reading an old thread on here about the BLI H2a N&W hoppers, and am wondering whether the 359 N&W H2 or were they H2a (?)  that Wabash bought in 1962 were repainted into a Wabash scheme, or just had their reporting marks and other small print changed ?

Also, I have heard the PRR lease of 2000 H2as ended in something like July 1967. I am wondering if there's any scenario where some might have hung around into the PC era?

Cheers, Ben

The Wabash hoppers you speak of were N&W H2 or H3 class (visually very similar to H2a). My books are packed up at the moment (I just moved), I have at least one photo of an H2 in full Wabash paint. In a week or so I should have my books unpacked.

I have the info on the PRR lease hoppers (books again), but 1967 sound about right.

If you can fish it out, that'd be lovely.

I am okay with digging stuff up, but this is outside my usual fossicking zone.
