Most years, Bantrak is blessed to be able to run trains in the amazing Baltimore and Ohio railroad museum during the holiday season. I like to call it the best model train venue in the world. This year we arrived to find a locomotive sitting in the stall we were expecting to be our space. The obvious answer was to build our Ntrak layout around it.
B&O #13, "Lafayette" is a replica of the original 1837 locomotive built at the site of museum in 1927. Lafayette is a movie star, having appeared in "Wells Fargo","Stand Up and Fight","The Great Locomotive Chase" and "Amistad." She was last steamed in 2013.
