Ok, I guess I don’t understand what was originally being asked then. On the board pictured above, I’m 98% certain the spot marked “NUM” is for the rear numberboards (or front if normally runs long hood forward). But my guess that is not the question either.
Maybe it is me not understanding. As I took it, Ed asked what function button (on the throttle?) will turn on the number boards when ESU decoder is installed. He didn't mention that the decoder in question has the original Atlas SD45 sound project loaded in it. I took that as him asking what pin on the decoder connector is physically wired to the number board LEDs.
It's not function output 4. I believe it's function output 6.The factory decoders on these are shipped with Tsunami2, not ESU. And the way ESU maps functions there's no guarantee it's mapped on your decoder when you plug it in. So you may need to map AUX6 to a function on the ESU.This assuming that FX6 on the Tsunami lines up with AUX 6 on the ESU.
Sorry for the confusion.I've installed an ESU decoder in my previous one and have another on the way for this one.So the thing I'm trying to figure out is which decoder output (ie, which fX pad or whatever it's called) the number boards (via that plug) are connected to.I'm sure I'll have to update my decoder info to automatically turn them on with the prime mover since I AM just using a default one with some tweaks. I think it's that 76407. https://projects.esu.eu/projects/print/76407
Does anyone have the Soundtraxx decoder equipped version and can check for me?
