If you're taking the time to weather it, does that mean it passed the testing phase?

Well, this is for a customer, so I didn't run it much, and I have no smoke fluid.  However, it runs very smoothly on my 6' test module through a crossover consisting of a "tight" NMRA hand made #6 turnout and an old #6 ME turnout.  I also changed the address and checked some of the features of the decoder.  As usual, the sound needs some kneading, and I'll play around with my 4012 after I'm done weathering this one up.

Frankly, I'm quite impressed by the level of detail...and at the same time, disappointed in some of the details omitted.

I'll do a write up in the next few days.

Here's a close-up that shows an example of the level of detail...

I added another engine to the switcher fleet.
Turns out a Kato NW2 shell fits perfectly on a Bachmann NW2 chassis.
Added details are Miniatures by Eric spark arrestors, brass trainline hoses and Z scale couplers. The shell is factory painted but I painted the railings white and did light weathering with powders and a clear flat coat.
It also has an ESU Lokpilot decoder.

Wow wow wow, Wolf, that's beautiful! Love the way you inset the screens! Do you have any in -progress pics?
Wish you could bring them over next time and run them over Cajon!

The PRR Projects group on groups.io (https://groups.io/g/PRRPro/topics) is currently working on PRR snowplows. I am doing a double-track Russell snowplow in N scale, starting with a CMR Products body print. Details added include roof walks, brake wheel, headlight, smoke jacks, grab irons, access hatches, front coupler pocket door, and flanger. Paint scheme will be MOW gray.

That's just awesome, thanks for posting these, Wolf!
I have several of these, in ABBA sets, and I do need them for my layout theme, but the notion of milling the frames to accommodate DCC leave me cold...😬
Very nice job on yours!

Great job on these, Wolf. My ABBA set is in the (bottomless) bench queue awaiting decoders.

I think you may have mentioned it elsewhere, but I'll ask anyway - where did you get the number boards? Those are on the short list for my project, too. Thanks!

Not speaking for Wolf, but I purchased some PA boards from KATO.

Thank you, very much!!

For these, I used number boards from Miniatures by Eric. On my SSW PA's I used (Like Wazzou) Kato PA boards. I would recomend using Kato's

Thanks again,
Wolf

Thanks, Bryan and Wolf! I was prepping a parts order for Kato this coming week anyway, so there we go!
