Had to watch it a couple times to figure out how they got the old bridge out of there. There's only on brief still shot of this part, but I guess they cut all the top bracing and lowered it out the bottom. Pretty elaborate procedure!

Or, one could do like the Great Northern did with the Rock Island, WA Columbia River bridge.  Instead of closing the line to replace the bridge, they just built a new bridge around it.  Both bridges are still there, in daily use, for BNSF.

I also dug deep into my box of leftover Grandt Line C&S/RGS Type 3 boxcar and single-deck stock car kits and managed to cobble together a kitbashed RGS Type 3 double-deck stock car.

I started on an O scale sawmill build from Sierra West last weekend. I was going to post up a few pics but unfortunately I need to start flapping my mouth before I can get a gallery started on TRW. Once again, the ground is white, time to hide in the basement and get to work.

It's fall again, so I'm casting and building - another custom build of my Climax A kit.

This one is equipped with the 25:1 gearhead and a DZ126T decoder stuffed into the frame.  I've got those working quite well now.

Some details in the CSX Cumberland Division thread.  Here is Marmion Hall - I have made the porches and half of the roof.  Need to complete the roof structures, add dormer windows, chimneys, down spouts, and do some weathering.  The birds eye view photo of HF shows the buildings I have made (in black text) and those I plan to build (in blue).

I built a half dozen of these box cars about ten years ago. Painted and decorated them maybe 3 years ago?  Well tonight a couple of them finally got trucks and couplers!

For the first time I took a table at a local trains show today and to my surprise managed to sell over $1,000 of surplus equipment.

I am now working on getting the small layout section which will sit inside the wall ready for installation.  Our shop teacher helped me cut up some spare Masonite for a roof and two walls for lining the passage through the wall:






I also got slots cut in the walls (thanks Philippe!) below track level for the auxiliary and track bus wires to pass through:






Also, some new work equipment has emerged from the paint shop and is ready for decals (after I get the crane rigged).  Here are the last three installments for my Prince George Auxiliary project, including crane 6501, idler 6502, and tie and truck car 6505:




and snow plow 996006 and flanger 996016:




I have also received decals for 17 cars currently in build so lots of decaling in my near future!
