Me too. My gel is now liquid.

I really liked the gel's ability to stay where I put it, but now its turned to liquid. The bottle is almost gone and I'll probably buy the gel again despite its short life.

The way I look at this now is that so little of the flux is needed, that even just barely moistening the soldered area with liquid flux should be sufficient.  Trying their flux paste might be an option too.  https://www.hnflux.com/page19.html

The paste remains paste. Just the gel has changed states on me.

@peteski  Peter, y'know, I think I'm gonna order some Supersafe paste and give it a try.  Although I don't have any complaints about my gel-flux-turned-to-liquid, sometimes I need a specific application, and the paste might be just the ticket to stay in its place.

Don't know why I never thought about it before I read your post!

As an update, I was able to figure out on the #7 jig where optimally the frog point should be and scribed marks on the jig at that location.  Then I figured out exactly where on the frog helper soldering jig the two halves of the frog rails should be for soldering and also marked the frog helper with a scribe at that location.

Now I am able to get repeated great frog points and install the frog in the right spot on every turnout I make.  I then check everything with an NMRA gauge and file if necessary.  I finished 3 turnouts this evening and they turned out great.

I will take some pictures tomorrow to show what I did.
