Following close on the heels of the #323 is #307, I was working on this one right after I got the #323 done and was waiting on the chips to arrive.
Pretty much the same as the #323 except it's Maroon and Yellow.   Only two 35's were wore this Maroon and Yellow scheme: 307 & 317.




                 



                 



The trucks and fuel tank are actually black on this scheme, but I tried to make them look dusty
like the prototype.

Building a NYSW GP-18 from a LifeLike model from the 1990s. Just ran the shell through the primer step right after this picture. I'll keep you posted.

Finally back on this after years. Been doing past/present industry research and getting as many actual photos of this line as I can. Working out some track arrangements and ordering the remaining jigs tonight.

This was going to be a shelf layout but I have moved 3 times in the past decade and will prob move again soon. So I will do 4' x12" modules, with eventual islands for some industries.

Going to model what should be 65 scale feet but will do between 50-60% compression on whatever I can, so 35ish feet of this is the plan/goal.

The line is part of the Union Belt of Detroit , know as Detroit West Belt and sometimes referred to (from my research) as Highland Park Industrial.

10 or 12 years ago bought an 1985 CR ZTS (Toledo Division) to see all the 'older' trackwork in Detroit and get some layout ideas, as soon as I turned to the page in the photo I knew this was the project I wanted to do.  Will do early to late CR and current CR Shared assets, might run some 70's PC on it  as I will include some industries that failed/moved and are not proto for the eras mentioned.

WECX200, now with some paint. If I had more time, I think it'd benefit from starting with some 2000 grit after a primer layer, then final coat but I have ran out of time... intent is to have it at the Oklahoma City show beginning of next month, and I'm on the road from now until then.
