Micro Trains 2001 couplers - confused

Took a look at Microtrains coupler diagrams document and I am a liitle confused regarding the 2001 coupler.
The 2004 short shank shows as 2 numbers 2004(001 02 51) unassembled and 2004-1 (001 02 52) assembled.
The 2001 shows a short shank version ( 001 02 050) with a diagram saying unassembled straddling both the short and long shank profile diagrams.
No number for the long shank version? Assembled or unassembled ?
I'm confused
Could someone help?
