That little steamer is nuts.

I have no idea why I'd want one, but I kinda want one!

Although, I must say, every time I'd look at it I'd be thinking "dammit, can get this thing, but still no Russian Deck".

Also, I thoroughly enjoy the way they pronounce "Bachmann".

My paternal grandmother was a Bachmann and how you hear it in the video is how we would pronounce her birth surname. But for what ever reason I've always pronounce the MR company like the composer.

I note they have an N scale "Nissen Hut", which is pretty much the same thing as an American "Quonset Hut".  Might be handy!

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

If the Bman releases it in North America, it will likely be more expensive than the readily available RIX Quonset:

I wanted a D&RG Mountaineer

I guess that Kato/Peco was planning on doing these in 009 and out of nowhere Bachmann says they will be in stores in 2 weeks.

They've definitely been caught snoozing, but I imagine if they continue with the project their's will end up being about two thirds the price of the Bachmann version.

But they'll probably have traction tires and likely won't be geared down as much.

My first choice for new UK prototype models is Hattons. They have a good selection, good prices, and good shipping. They advertise in Model Railroader too, seem keen on growing their US business. https://www.hattons.co.uk
