BLI Mike/Pacific lighting question

Has anyone added a working backup light to the stock electronics on the BLI USRA locos? I'm using the light Pacific as a starting point for my WM K2 4-6-2 and would like to use all the factory electronics because, well, I suck at electronics. The WM locos appear to have had a slightly shorter tender than USRA locos, so the rear light is very noticeable from certain angles. I'd like  to light it if its as simple as soldering up an LED to existing pads. If not, I suppose I'm ok with something like an MV lens.

If you have one of the new Paragon 4 equipped locos, the P4 decoder should support what BLI calls a "Pro Mode" independent lighting, in addition to the default auto on/off function. The N scale mikes/pacifics do not have a backup light as you note, but the decoder should have the capability of independent lighting. Having said that, I've yet to open mine up to see for myself. Maybe a call to BLI is in order, as suggested. And let us know what you learn please.
