I've never met Bill in person, but he has one of my favorite layouts.  First time I saw a photo of it, I knew exactly what it was based on.  My business in Chicago was based a few blocks west of the area he modeled, and I had several customers in that neighborhood, although it was the 1980s.  He really has captured the look and "feel" of the real locale.

Of course Bill's layout is one of the true icons of N scale railroading.  I also enjoyed seeing the rest of the video too, especially the 3-D printed modern structures.  I don't model modern day, but I'm aware that most structure kit manufacturers don't look past the mid-1950s for inspiration, so those were refreshing to see.

Watched it this morning, really beautiful and inspiring work. I have some of his cars from Skytop Models and they're top-notch! I sure hope he publishes a book with all his modeling knowledge and philosophies, I'd be the first in line to get it!

Thanks guys. That was a fun show to attend and I had a great time. It's amazing how much work gets done before taking a layout to a show and even afterwards. Even though Kingsbury has been around for 25 years or so, it has not remained stagnant. I have tried to keep it up to date with the addition 0f static grass, new vehicles, more details, frog juicers, sound and lighting. Special thanks to Jim Starbuck for helping me to run trains but and also getting the layout to the show and back. Already looking forward to the next show!

Great job, Bill!  Your modeling is superb and certainly worthy of the attention; and I am amazed at your aplomb while talking to the Boris Johnson of model railroading.
