Just got my two VIA FP9As. Hooray!
Just had to reseat one decoder and reset the other, all is fine now.
Great details with great lighting and sound features.
Run well with only a small break in period.
Now I have something to pull my Canadian cars.
Thankyou to Jason and Rapido. :D

Very cool.  Could you take a picture of the roof for me?  I would like to see the cooling coils on top.  I'm wondering if they did different versions.  Thanks!!

Unfortunately, the website leaves me confused.  At the top of the page, they show the original "CN" version with 4 conventional F unit fans (36", one is covered by the winterization hatch).  And note the second version with 2 of the smaller fans replaced by 1 48" fan and the others under the hatch.  But down below, all the graphics for CN, even those in the 1954 scheme, show the revised version with revised fans.  Is that how they are being delivered?  If the graphics are wrong, they've had quite a long while (since these were announced) to fix the error.

Image shows on left VIA 6525 (ex CN) and right VIA 6557(ex CP)

I recommend you look at Rapido Master Class document.

I do believe that is non-dynamic brakes on the left F-unit and dynamic brakes on the right F-unit.

I'm not confused about the difference between CP and CN units.  What confuses me is why ALL the CN units shown in the sales order graphics show option 3, which is the later altered version (I think, since they obviously don't look like EMD standard FP), which have the small fans replaced with a large fan.  Shouldn't these be the same roof as the unit on the left in your photo?

If you look at road numbers in the photo, they are only doing 1 illustration per paint scheme..

As meticulous as they are with detail, thier illustrations could use some improvement.

Well, the "E" version was earlier than I thought, but still the second of the 2 CN versions.  And the two shown with lower numbers should be early versions based on the info in their "master class" document and CN websites.

Both CN versions are shown in VIA paint, and the early version CN is shown in Algoma paint.

I’ve got to CP ‘block’ locos coming to me. Really looking forward to seeing them.

Yes, the ordering diagram could be better. I see that VIA units supposedly of CP heritage shows CN ‘E’ units…
