Well, the flanges chattered along the ties on my ME Code 55, that's why I asked the question. Maybe all ME Code 55 isn't created equal?

Or maybe ME has changed its injection tool again, and made the spikes bigger. Original Rail Craft Code 55 had no problem running pizza cutters of any sort, and early Micro Engineering Code 55 (which was made with the same injection tool as Rail Craft Code 55) didn't have a problem. When the tool broke and ME had a new one manufactured, the spikes were bigger and more uniform (unfortunately)....but still no probs with pizza cutters. Could be there's a third iteration of the ME injection tool, and they've made the spikes even larger (!!!!!!

). Since I have none of the latest ME Code 55, I can't take a measurement to see what the railhead to spikehead clearance is.
