I didn't get the photos from Stan, and Stan took the family camping. I did take a look with the magnifier headset upon arrival, and they look ...Sweet !  These have a new design plastic box nest insert, and we had the shipping boxes double boxed for safer transit. The nines were fantastic, their containers have all been great, and I have every reason to think the seventeens will be as good.

I only hope the triples are ready before I have to take the Sub down this time next year...

Firstly, a big congratulations to Stan and JTC on another successful release!

I'd be all over these, but they are slightly too modern for my era.

I model Tehachapi in 1999, and love Intermodal, so I'm really looking forward to the upcoming JTC VTTX COFC flat car release (as this is in my era and I have video of them on Tehachapi in April '99)


Here are my top picks for much needed Intermodal products in N scale:

   1. NSC 48' Well cars (3-unit drawbar sets)
   DTTX series 27000-27623, built by NSC, class NWG31, built 1998

   2. Great Dane Plate wall or Thermacube 48' JB Hunt Containers
   I need at least twenty of these!


   3. 48' 5-unit Spines

Spines have only been done in 53' recently by BLMA (and are about to be re-run by Atlas), but these seem to sell out very fast, and I think that there is a gaping hole in the market for 48' spines that can run in the 1990s and 2000s.

Athearn already have the Trinity RAF30A 57' spines tooled in HO, and they seem to be gradually bringing their HO freight cars to N scale as well, so maybe that is not such a good option.
   
Atlas have the ex-Walthers tooling for the Thrall Well cars, but to be honest I think an all new tooled model from JTC would sell like hot cakes.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I'm buying tons of your containers!
