If he is taking acting lessons, he needs to go back and review where they teach you to wear only one pair of glasses at a time.

Like glass wearers who use an optivisor.

Or over-the-glasses safety goggles.  I solved that problem at work by buying a pair of prescription safety glasses.

Well, one is just to see, the other is to see closer up.

What amazes me is Ken's skill with a drywall blade. How in the world is he getting consistent 90° cuts with a coarse-toothed stab saw? I mean, I work with pink foam all the time and cannot get the clean, even cuts he's demonstrating with mere hand tools.

Hours of practice when he was young in the straight up & down hand motion.   :D

He also admitted in the show that he has to send back the engines he photographs.

To be honest, there should've been a big banner across the video segment: "FROM THE ARCHIVES"

"For this segment of What's Neat, we are going to build a N scale layout. This is going to be an ongoing project, as it snows outside, and there's nothing better to do..."

I guess Ken dusted this clip off, because he ran out of ideas to do in HO.  :D

At least N scale is getting some attention, despite absymal support of N scale structures from Walthers...

Oh please...I used to be an optimist, long ago, then slowly started moving into pragmatism, and now I'm just cynical about it all.

Seriously.  Complain about lack of N scale content from the guy and then complain when he does do N scale content.  Sheesh.

Truth, @Dave V
I'm not a fan, generally of podcasts... I find them to be a dreadful time sink... but I stayed on for this one out of morbid curiosity.
I was pleased when Ken acknowledged the fine motor skills required by those of us who practice this particular form of model railroading voodoo.

Ken is a bit of a gadfly, I would probably enjoy meeting him, but I don't know that I can sit through his podcast every week.
He does a good job of holding his sponsors up to the light, which I supposed keeps him in good stead with the higher ups at MRH, but the constant product placement schtick is pretty taxing.

Apart from the jaundiced eye of this little Mass Comm major, he probably provides a good service to the hobby.
I'll look forward to other people talking about his N scale adventure, so I can peek at the links they post.  Otherwise, I won't be seeking it out.

What would really be neat would be a "What's Neat" video that doesn't take a couple lifetimes to watch.

But Ken's a talented modeler so I am sure his efforts will look outstanding.

Does that mean tyhe appropriate texting term is "TL;DW"?

Well, I used Ken's very well-demonstrated technique to build the magnetic lift-out section of the RGS and it's still working.

I don't do his podcasts either simply because sitting around listening to other people just talk feels too much like a staff meeting and I'm too retired for non-mandatory staff meetings.  But the monthly "What's Neat" typically has something useful or interesting.  COVID-19 really messed up his layout visits but I hope that picks up again.  He's been to Colorado more than once for those, and I invited him to the HOn3 RGS if he ever wanted to do a visit to a layout that doesn't fill the whole basement.
