Congratulations!  I don't imagine documenting every step of your 0-6-0 project here hurt.  They certainly couldn't claim "insufficient evidence" on that one!

Congratulations, Max!  Well deserved.  Does the number 686 mean that you are only the 686th Master Model Railroader in the NMRA?  I would have thought there would have been more than that, considering the age of the NMRA.

Max hasn't just deserved praise for his work, he's provided help to a lot of modelers on projects, myself included.

I think his biggest contribution was an example to me (and my kits) of how much difference a decent set of instructions can make.

I'd had a GHQ L1 conversion of the Kato 2-8-2 for about three years and sat on it, couldn't understand the instructions, too scared to start.

Then Max wrote an article with photos in the Keystoner, that was enough for me, I started it, finished it, and learned a lesson for my own kits.

Hundreds and hundreds of kits later, anybody that's ever done one of mine should know that the inspiration for that was Max.

His help has extended forward in a very practical manner on several projects, as well as general cheerleading for those of us that still have difficulty imagining how to make a working bell cord in N scale.....

Kudos Max, so well-deserved.  Your I1 project really inspired me to new modeling heights.  In fact, I have an I1 conversion from a Kato Mikado that I am going to airbrush this weekend.
