Do you mean MMR (mater modelrailroader) from the NMRA?????

If so, Max is very deserving. He has inspired me and a lot others to make us better modelers.

I'll be honest.  He received this accolade in part by solving the endless Rivarossi puzzles I've sent to him   over the years.

I shall now go fire up the layout and run a few of them.

Kudos to you, my friend!

To all of you, THANK YOU.
Yay!

I never set out to earn an MMR.  As the years went by, I just built projects and layouts, like anybody else.
But my local NMRA division people cajoled, and encouraged me to get my work judged.
They also got me to finish languishing projects I had always meant to do, like detailing some building interiors, and replacing my one curved turnout (my trackwork "nemesis") with a scratch built one.

So whaddya know!  I finished enough different types of models to a high enough degree, and here I am.

True to their stated mission, the NMRA and the AP program caused me to improve my models and my layout.  And for that, I thank them.

As proud as I am of earning an MMR (and I am!), what it really represents is a wonderful life-long learning curve of improving my skills, testing myself, and learning from people on this forum and from the NMRA.

Like the old saying goes: "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."
