Next run of BLI SD40-2's scheduled for July 2021

The next run of SD40-2's is up on the BLI website (may have been for a while but I just noticed).  They aren't in the Product Delivery Schedule page yet but currently scheduled for July 2021. These are listed as Paragon 4 decoders.  The catalog listings are here:

Agreed.  Filth like that is what keeps tempting me time and time again to build a layout based on Saluda Grade with at least half-a-dozen Southern Ry. SD40-2s on the point and as mid-train helpers getting trains over the hill.  I've been fighting this urge since a railfanning trip in 1994.  Mountain railroading.  Hawt.

Don't bet on them being road specific. The Conrail ones they did were pretty much as inaccurate of a model as they could be and still be an SD40-2 (wrong grills, wrong nose, wrong trucks, missing anti-climber, etc...).

But if the road you're looking at has an early SD40-2 (81" nose and "chicken wire" grills), or you don't care, these look pretty nice.

For all of the bashing Intermountain gets here, at least THEY got the correct fuel tanks on the Milwaukee and Soo units. wouldn't mind a few more of them. I'm DONE hacking up Kato's to get it right. I would be happy to part with a few Kato's

For the high nosers, correct for N&W and the NS numbers they are doing (wrong trucks for both though - of course!). I thought the SOUTHERN SD40-2s were later phases but I have to check on that.

I wonder if they all have ditch lights (I would have to remove them).
