Several more new models from Artitec's 2020 announcement have shown up at DM Toys.  https://www.dm-toys.de/en/list/category/vehicles/manufacturer/Artitec.html

MB Klein (ModelTrainStuff) will likely be getting their shipment in about a month.   ;)

Sadly no D7 crawlers and no D7 bulldozer payloads for flatcars as they have in HO.  Been lobbying Artitec for both.  THey've been receiptive but they say their product development time is long.

The Ford tractor looks very nice.  Most photos of farming in the area and era I am modelling appear to show Ford tractors rather than John Deere.

The baler also looks very nice, but I wish we had a round hay baler in N Scale . . . . . every photo I have seen of farming in the Peace region shows round hay bales.

Tim,

Wiking makes a Claas round baler that could be repainted to look like a New Holland round baler that would have been common in British Columbia in your modeling era.

Unfortunately, the bale coming out of the baler looks a little crooked.

Edit:  The bale was hung up on the "door" of the baler, so I took another picture since the first one would have resulted in needing to repair the baler.   :(

The Ford tractors came and went at MBK (I blinked and missed them). Hope they can restock (more than 5 would be nice).

Oh wow thank you; will have to order one of those.  Do you know a SKU number?

And do you have any info for what a "New Holland" would have looked like?

Thank you,

Tim,

It looks like Reynauld's Euro Imports might still have some of the Wiking round balers.  https://www.reynaulds.com/catalog/dept_2106.aspx

Wiking applied two paint schemes to the same baler, so it would not matter which one you started with.  A New Holland 846 baler is similar in appearance to the Claas Rollant.  https://www.tractorhouse.com/listings/farm-equipment/for-sale/list/category/1135/hay-and-forage-equipment-round-balers/manufacturer/new-holland/model/846

And, according to a response on this forum, the Ford 5000 should have adequate PTO HP for the New Holland 846.  https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=implment&th=84459

And if you need a little more power, you can always add a turbo charger to the 5000.   :D  That is one of the things Ford did to make the 7000.

Mark,

It looks like Reynauld's Euro Imports still has the Ford 5000 tractors in stock.  https://www.reynaulds.com/catalog/dept_1880.aspx

I pre-ordered three from Reynauld's and got them before MBK got their shipment.  Reynaulds also has the Fordson Dexta, which became the Ford 2000.  The photo below shows the 5000 with the Dexta.

Hi Carter:

I ordered a Ford 5000 from the European place in the original link, and found a Wiking baler online after a long search so I am set.  Thanks for the photo of the round baler; it will get a repaint into the red and yellow.  These are needed for my hay field scene on top of the helix.  I also ordered the Artitec slurry wagon which I thought looked neat.

The other farm implement I could really use are some mobile grain augers.

My Ford tractor and slurry wagon arrived from Germany today - beautiful models.

My hay baler went to a friend in Portland as they didnt ship to Canada, so will get that sent up here soon.
